Types of courses

We offer different types of courses.

Commercial.

If we are unable to provide a fully-funded qualification for you to study, we can source an array of paid-for commercial courses.

One of the benefits of these types of qualifications is that there is often a greater range of subjects and levels available. If you are within a more niche industry, you still have a chance to learn new skills. Due to each course being unique, they may be accredited by different providers. Additionally, these qualifications have less eligibility criteria, increasing accessibility to the courses. We recommend speaking to our team beforehand to ensure that the courses you are looking to take, suit your individual needs.

Apprenticeships.

A training programme that combines on the job learning with classroom instruction.

An opportunity for individuals to gain practical skills, knowledge, and experience in a particular trade or profession while earning a wage. They typically last between one and four years. In addition to gaining skills and knowledge, apprentices also benefit from increased employability and earning potential. We will work with you and your employer to help get you started on your apprenticeship, without facing any delays.

What is an Apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships provide individuals from the age of 16 with the opportunity to earn while they learn, acquiring the skills necessary for a fulfilling career.

In addition to hands-on training in the workplace, apprentices dedicate at least 20% of their working hours to classroom-based instruction provided by a college, university, or training organisation. This educational component culminates in the attainment of a nationally recognised qualification.

Key components of an apprenticeship include:

  • Paid employment with holiday entitlement
  • Practical experience in a chosen sector or role
  • A minimum of 20% off-the-job training
  • Formal assessment leading to a nationally recognised qualification
